There is a wealth of wisdom to be mined from the experiences of our elders. During a discussion on people who retire and then get bored, today's words of wisdom come from a long-time rancher and county judge:

"If you have a black bull and a windmill,

you always have something to do."

Black bull?  Check!

Windmill? Not yet.

Clearly we are only halfway there to saving ourselves from retirement years of boredom.  On the other hand, something tells me that we'll have enough to keep us busy . . .

I'm just saying . . .

How often do brother and sister get to play together? I'll bet you could watch them play all day long.

They play together every couple of days since she only lives about 1/10 of a mile down the road. Unfortunately I'm not usually carrying a camera and don't get regular updated photos.

OhmygoshNO! Nopenopenope! Mr. Trace is a toddler and although he's a fantastic little dog, he isn't old enough to pass the big 3 test (exceptional working ability, good health, and good temperament) There are already so many really good dogs out there that unless he ends up doing something tremendous, I doubt we'll ever breed him. Right now, if I wanted another BC, I'd probably go back to Trace's breeder and get one related to him.
