Do you remember the scene in "Finding Nemo" where the little crab lands amid a group of seagulls and they immediately begin squawking "MINE! MINE! MINE!" as they chase him?

Those of you with small children who have been forced to see this movie 300 times will be nodding your heads.  (and now you won't be able to get the seagulls out of your head . . . )

Well . . .  this is the build-up for my big news!

It's mine! It's MINE!

(actually it's OURS!)

We closed on the ranch yesterday and it's officially ours!  (and the bank's)

Thankyou!Thankyou!Thankyou! I can't wait to move up there! Unfortunately it'll be a little while. In the mean time, we'll be bouncing back and forth while we build the barn/house and I'll have to satisfy myself with that!

Congrats! This so much more than merely awesome - but there isn't another word to describe it. remember, we need pics of before, during and after of the house/barn building.

I agree with clairesmum's suggestion about planting Sunflowers. Get a whole packet of seeds and start a Sunflower patch.

I'm so excited for you! Congrats! We bought property (just an acre) in New Braunfels where we will be building our last home, when my hubby retires in about 8 years.
