The weekend has finally arrived and it couldn't come soon enough.  Yesterday I looked out in the pasture and my boys had perfectly summed up exactly what I want to do this weekend . . .

ZZZZzzzz . . .

Yeah, that's it . . . and maybe lay in bed with a good book.

 "Huh?"

(Yawn . . . ) Bbbut I can't read . . . "

Are you hand feeding? it certainly is dry. Is it good pasture when it rains? I have not seen mine so green since pre drought. Another month and I will lose the old sheep and 1 little goat somewhere in the wilderness. 2 horses coming in end of Oct. One is a stunning little Welsh mt pony. Hope they are not prone to founder or they will have to split area up into weight watchers parcels

The buckskin pinto and the gray are in a roping arena and the roan is sleeping in a bare area of the pasture, but even the grassy part of the pasture is pretty slim. Hopefully the recent rain will bring us more grass!
